Proposed Fare Revision
Effective Jan. 1, 2010

The proposed fare revision would end the sale of ticketbooks to the general public effective January 1, 2010. Due to ORCA card implementation, fixed route customers that currently pay with tickets may convert to ORCA and use the e-purse function or pay with cash.

Tickets would still be available for sale to human/social service providers, school districts and administrators of the Pierce County Superior Court Juror Ticket Program. These groups would be able to purchase:
• Regular adult tickets for $1.75 each
• Discounted tickets for $0.75 each for use by youth, senior citizens, individuals with disabilities and individuals with a valid Medicare card.

Books of 11 tickets (buy 10 and get 1 free) would be eliminated. Human/social service providers, schools and the Pierce County Superior Court would be required to preorder and prepay for tickets.
