INTRODUCTION

Pierce Transit is seeking proposals for parking management services at the Tacoma Dome Station parking facility located at 510 and 610 Puyallup Avenue (between East E and East G Streets), Tacoma, Washington 98421. The parking structures contain approximately 2,500 parking spaces on six (6) levels of one structure (east building) and seven (7) levels in the adjoining structure (west building). The facility is owned by Pierce Transit and serves primarily regional transit patrons on bus, commuter and light rail. Because of the proximity to the Tacoma Dome, Freighthouse Square, and other local businesses, the garage may provide parking on a fee basis to serve those needs; however currently fees are collected only for special events.

Services will include parking fee collection, traffic control and facility operation responsibilities. These services will be performed according to guidelines and direction provided by Pierce Transit.

Prospective proposers are encouraged to attend the pre-proposal conference to be held in the Supervisors’ Office at Pierce Transit’s Tacoma Dome Station, 510 Puyallup Avenue, at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 19, 2007. The pre-proposal conference will provide the opportunity to review the requirements and intent of the contract documents. Following the meeting attendees will be invited to a walk through of the Tacoma Dome facility buildings. Tours of the facilities WILL NOT be provided before or after the pre-proposal conference.
