Delays, Detours Near Commerce St. Station April 27 through 29

The City of Tacoma is currently repairing a broken concrete roadway panel and underground utility vaults located on South 9^th Street between Commerce & Pacific Avenue. During this project, 9^th Street will be closed in both directions between Commerce & Pacific Avenue. Traffic will be maintained heading north & south on Pacific Avenue and on Commerce, with both roadways remaining open.

Pierce Transit buses that regularly use 9^th Street will be detoured during the street closure. Expect traffic delays around Commerce and in the surrounding area during morning and afternoon peak commute times. The Route 1 & 500 bus stop #2470 located on Pacific Avenue & South 11^th Street will be closed during this detour. Customers can catch the Route 500 on Commerce and at the Route 1 bus stop located on 9^th Street & Broadway.
