Route 100 on Long Term Detour Starting Oct. 24

Pierce Transit Route 100 will be on long-term detour beginning Saturday, Oct. 24 due to a Washington State Department of Transportation repair project on the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. As part of this project, lanes of travel will be reduced and the Jackson Avenue on-ramp to westbound SR 16 will close. All westbound Rt. 100 bus stops on 6th Ave. between Mildred St. and Jackson Ave. will be closed during construction. This includes the Narrows Park & Ride bus stop. New Podcast Episode Features More Within Reach: All About Prop 1

On the latest episode of South Sound Connected, we learn about the Pierce Transit ballot measure going before voters on November 3rd. Episode guests are Chelsea and Dezra who've worked for the past year gathering public input to shape the plan and who are now helping educate the public on it. We’ll also learn what services would be maintained and which would be expanded as part of the proposed measure.

Alternate Access to TCC Park & Ride on Saturday, Sept. 26

On Saturday, Sept. 26, Tacoma Community College will be striping parking stalls in several lots and working in the roundabout that connects to the Park & Ride. The Park & Ride will remain open but the main entrance will be closed in order to paint directional arrows in the lane. To ensure access to the Park & Ride is maintained, surrounding entry points at the Mildred St. entrance to C Lot and the entrance off 19th Street, just east of A Lot, will be open.
