Park & Ride Maintenance Closures

Pierce Transit will temporarily close the TCC and SR 512 Park & Ride parking lots for paving and maintenance work. Vehicles must be removed before each closure begins. TCC Park & Ride: Closed August 26–28. Vehicles must be removed by Tuesday evening, August 25. SR 512 Park & Ride UPDATE: This closure has been postponed until further notice. Check back for details on the new closure date. Bus service will continue to operate from both locations during the parking lot closures. Pierce Transit to Offer Free Rides to Cooling Centers August 4 through 7

The Puget Sound area will experience high temperatures this week. To help those who need transportation to get out of the heat and shelter during hot weather, Pierce Transit is partnering with Pierce County Human Services to provide free rides to local cooling centers and shelters on bus, Runner and SHUTTLE paratransit (for registered SHUTTLE customers). The free rides to cooling centers and shelters are in effect on Pierce Transit services from start of service Tuesday, August 4 through end of service on Friday, August 7. Spanaway Transit Center Reopens

Following an extended closure in conjunction with the Pierce County 208th St. E. Sewer Extension project, the Spanaway Transit Center reopens on July 28, 2026. Route 1 & Stream Community Line resume regular routing on Tuesday morning, July 28, at the start of service.
