2026 Student Art Contest

Share your adventures in daily transit through art! The ride home, to school, or across town is filled with sounds, sights and stories. Use bold colors, patterns and imagination to show how art and transportation go hand in hand—and how every ride can be a moving masterpiece.

Pierce Transit + Tacoma Library

ELIGIBILITY: Open to K-12 students in Pierce County.

SUBMISSIONS: Submissions open from October 1-31. Visual art created digitally or by hand using crayons, paints, pencils or other medium. Literary art of 150 words or less also accepted. Submit your artwork through the link or at your local branch of the Tacoma Public Library. If you choose to mail your submission, we kindly ask that you still complete the online submission form.

AWARDS: The grand prize winner’s artwork will be featured on a Pierce Transit bus and showcased in the Tacoma Public Libraries. One winner from each age group will have their art displayed on a Pierce Transit bus stop shelter. Additionally, all winning entries will be included on a poster exhibited throughout the Pierce County Library system.
