Potential Issue with Your Fare
Feb. 23, 2023 - Pierce Transit has learned we have had some instances of incorrect charges when customers have paid their fare with cash or a ticket.
We are confident the incorrect charges are not happening with every ride, and we believe it is isolated to a few buses.
Pierce Transit wants to reimburse anyone who did pay additional fare, due to the error in our system. If anyone believes they paid additional fare on their ride since Dec. 18, they should call Pierce Transit Customer Service Center at 253.581.8000 (option 2, 1).
Please provide us with the date, time and route you rode, and we will cross-reference with our records. If you were impacted, we will reimburse them with a free ride ticket.Pierce Transit regrets this error, and apologizes for the inconvenience.
