Pierce Transit utilizes Builders Exchange of Washington to publish current contracting opportunities and contract award information. Prime contractors, subcontractors, and vendors can access current bid documents free of charge by going to http://www.bxwa.com and clicking on “Posted Projects”, “Public Works”, and/or “Goods and Services”, and “Pierce Transit”. Builder’s Exchange of Washington provides bidders with fully usable online documents, including automatic addenda notification, viewing and/or printing plans, details, and specifications. Bidders are encouraged to self-register on the “Bidders List” to receive automatic email notification of addenda. Bidders that do not register will not be automatically notified of addenda.

Vendor Registration
Pierce Transit utilizes MRSC Rosters, a membership database used by participating Washington public agencies to identify eligible contractors for opportunities to bid on small public works projects, consultant services, as well as other goods and services. DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISE (DBE) PROGRAM
Pierce Transit has established a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program in accordance with 49 Code of Federal Regulations Part 26. Pierce Transit receives federal financial assistance from the Federal Department of Transportation, and as a condition of receiving this assistance, Pierce Transit signed an assurance that it will comply with 49 CFR Part 26.
Pierce Transit’s DBE Goal is 2.0% effective from October 1, 2024, through September 30, 2026.
