Pierce Transit Donation Brings Real-World Transit Training to Bates Technical College
Partnership prepares students for careers in public transit and heavy equipment maintenance. A surplus Pierce Transit vehicle is taking on a new role at Bates Technical College, fueling training for the next generation of transit technicians. At the Jan. 12 Board of Commissioners meeting, Pierce Transit presented a surplus vehicle to Bates Technical College for use in the college’s Diesel and Heavy Equipment Technology program.
